About the School:

Both the Early College of Forsyth and the Middle College of Forsyth are dedicated to preparing students for careers that are available in the Winston-Salem region today and in the future. These schools offer a small, learner-centered community that prepares students for a challenging program of study by developing academic rigor, providing relevant coursework, and building strong school and community relationships for success in the global economy. Students learn in small, supportive settings that address individual needs and ensure success in both high school and college courses. At the Early College,  all students take college-level classes within the Associate in Arts degree program beginning in their freshman year, gaining valuable experience and a head start on higher education. The Middle College serves as a magnet program for Juniors and Seniors interested in an academically challenging curriculum in a small, nurturing environment. In both schools, parents are active partners in their students’ education, while faculty members serve as mentors, guiding students to take responsibility for their learning, build independence, and engage with the community. These schools foster a collaborative school culture that supports smooth transitions into college and future educational or career pathways after graduation. This visit will provide the opportunity for attendees to see two and five-year programs situated on the campus of Forsyth Technical Community College. The visit will include a student-led tours, a panel discussion with faculty, and the opportunity to interact with school, district, and college leadership to learn how a strong partnership structure supports student success.
